New battery warmer / heater pad from Zerostart (an OEM manufacturer of heaters for many US automobile makers). This is a new (5.5x8.5") 60Watt heating unit designed to work in the coldest of climates. Greatly improves the starting capacity and life expectancy of your battery in very cold winter weather. Your battery is only 65% as powerful at 0 degrees as it is at 80 degrees (Fahrenheit) and your engine (with i's cold thick oil) requires more than twice the power to turn over! Most batteries lose about 30-50% of their capacity in cold weather. This heater keeps your battery nice and warm and gives you the same output you would get in warm weather. That is a bad combination,... you need more than twice the power and you have just 65% of the battery's rated capacity available! - Fix that issue with a good battery warmer! What sets this heater apart from cheap imitators?: 1). It features a molded rubber cord and heater sheathing (not cheap harder plastic, like some competitors) that will stay more flexible in frigid temperatures (no cracking). 2). The heating element's even heat provides "rising heat" effect throughout the battery 3). The cord is molded into the pad 4). This heater is oil and acid resistant and is flame retardant. 5). Really easy to install,... just put under your battery! The heater is placed directly under your battery. Some say a pad style heater do a better job of warming your battery than the blanket style heaters. As the heat rises, it evenly warms the whole battery for powerful starts. We also offer battery wraps in the following lengths and powers: 28" (50w), 36" (80w) and 72" (160w)
