A 36 track, 2 disc anthology marking the years before the Cuban embargo of 1959 with several rare recordings done in Cuba between 1952 and 1960, then continuing with recordings of Cuban immigrants in Miami through the late 1970’s. Featured artists include the brilliant pianist Frank Emilio Flynn, the immortal singer and songwriter Bola de Nieve, Doris de la Torre who help spearhead the “Feeling” movement and completely revolutionized the bolero form, great vocalists Beny Moré, Maria Teresa Vera, Willy Chirino, Luis Santi, Gina Martin, Paulina Alvarez, Manuel “Puntillita” Licea (from Buena Vista Social Club fame), the great maestro Félix Guerrero and many great conjuntos covering a wide array of styles including Jόvenes Del Hierro, Orquesta Suprema, Orquesta Sublime, Los Camperos, Evaristo Quintanales, Orquesta de Pepe Delgado through to the more modern sounds of Nelson Padron and Paquito Hechevarria and much more, covering a part of Cuban music history through rare recordings that have nearly been forgotten as most of these recordings were pressed in very limited quantities. A true treasure trove of great Cuban music, newly remastered. This product is manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.
