For many fans ""X"" is considered the most important Klaus Schulze work of the 70s. On four LP sides and based on the six musical biographies dedicated to Nietzsche, Trakl, Herbert, Bach, Ludwig II and Kleist, Schulze made it clear that he mastered his diverse synthesizers and ought to be counted as a German Avant-garde musician. In Poll 1978 the publication ""Sounds"" named Schulze --after Michael Rother-- as one the most popular German musicians. The double vinyl album with its original artwork is released with an extensive booklet.
